The Experience

Look at the world through the eyes of an artist:

Crafting can calm us because it shifts our attention away from any triggers. It also gives people a sense of productivity and can be a great way to break up the monotony of the day. Craft helps you express your creative side playfully without the pressure to succeed that artists often find themselves under.

Give it a go; there are so many different crafts out there to choose from. If you find that working in three dimensions and modelling things in your hands is what makes you tick, then go for clay, candle, or soap projects. If you are patient and find repetition soothing and relaxing, there is nothing better than crochet or needlework. Some projects may take hours, others weeks, but all of them can be done for little cost. If you don’t know what to choose, just go for what you are attracted to. i.e. what crafts do you readily purchase?

If you don’t know where to start, sign up for a workshop. We have several craft workshops available throughout the Tawny Trails: Check out the Dayboro Craft princess, Art House on the Hill sip & pour or group clay workshops at the Aluramaya Retreat. And then, of course, there is the option to take home some of our Trail artists beautiful creations to infuse your homes and lives with pleasures of creativity
